Little Bit's Bacon Popovers Instructions: Preheat the oven to 475 degrees. Cook the bacon until it is crisp, drain, and reserve about one tb of the drippings. Crumble the bacon and set it aside. In a bowl combine the eggs and milk, then add the flour and salt. Beat until smooth. Add reserved bacon drippings and stir in the bacon. Fill well-greased custard c half full. Bake for fifteen minutes. Do not remove the popovers from the oven but reduce the heat to 350 degrees and continue baking for twenty-five to thirty minutes more, until the popovers are brown and firm. Pierce the popovers with the tines of a fork before you remove them from the oven. Butter them with the fresh herb butter made from the three remaining ingredients. Print this recipe
